Capturing the Romance of an Rustic Wedding in Sicily at Masseria Susafa
When it comes to destination weddings, there's nothing quite like the allure of a beautiful Italian farmhouse, or "masseria," nestled in the rolling hills of Sicily. And that's exactly what I had the pleasure of photographing recently at Masseria Susafa. This stunning venue, located in the province of Palermo, is a top spot for couples looking for an intimate and rustic wedding celebration in an authentic Italian setting.
From the moment I arrived at Masseria Susafa, I knew that this was going to be a special wedding. The sun was setting and casting a golden glow over the ancient stone walls, the fragrant scent of wildflowers wafted in the air, and the sound of the nearby stream provided a soothing background soundtrack. The ceremony itself had an intimate and rustic feel, and was organized over a hill in the middle of a field of golden grain. The couple exchanged their vows under a wooden triangle decorated with a variety of raw flowers.
Sinead, the bride was radiant in her flowing gown and Rory, the groom was handsome in his beige suit. They both look so in love as they exchanged vows, and it was clear to everyone in attendance. The hill provided a great view on the rolling hills around Susafa.
The meal was a true celebration of Sicilian cuisine, featuring a variety of traditional dishes made with fresh, local ingredients.
As the night went on, the party grew more lively, with guests taking to the dance floor to enjoy the live music and lively conversation.
